Whether you love Las Vegas NV or hate it, one thing is for certain, you really can't top it when it comes to shows.
Even for those that have never really thought much about it can be sure that Vegas has something for you no matter who you are and might even help you discover a taste for Vegas you never even knew you had.
Posh hotels, five star restaurants and gambling might not appeal to you, but it's worth making a trip just because you'd be hard-pressed to find a more spectacular and diverse range of shows in Las Vegas NV.
Probably most synonymous with Vegas are its big budget production shows.
These range from the acrobatic circus-like produces of such shows as Love to the more eccentric post-modernism of the Blue Man group including more traditional Broadway productions. What production shows have in common is that they tends to be just that – productions, often big productions – featuring extravagant costumes, sets and most often reside in purpose-built theaters.
Of course, second to production shows are Las Vegas NV's headliner shows featuring all manner of talent from the perennial Wayne Newton to Celine Dion. Rather than touring, many artists have signed long-term deals and let fans come to them.
A very special variety of Vegas show is its world-famous tribute shows – which are less tribute and more often note for note perfect impersonations of the real thing.
How the tribute show genre got started or ????? why its take hold in Vegas is anyone's guess, but the fact remains that there are some great acts to behold. Of course, Elvis is always on display, or one can take in the Rat Pack, the Beatles or even catch, er, Prince from back in his Purple Rain days.
The offerings of Vegas shows would not be complete without magic shows – and Vegas is famous for them.
Some favorites include the great illusionist David Copperfield to the comedy magic show deconstruction acts of Pen & Teller and The Amazing Johnathan.
Vegas also boasts many great stand-up comedy acts and shows ranging from Carrot Top to Rita Rudner.
Psychic and hypnosis shows have become a popular Vegas genre as well. Vegas has even got game shows, such as the Price is Right.
The list would not be complete without mentioning Vegas adult oriented shows featuring scantily clad performers who are there to, well, titillate the audience.
While all the above-mentioned shows require tickets, Vegas offers a lot of free shows for visitors.
The fountain show at the Bellagio runs every 15 to 30 minutes depending upon the time of day. The “pirate show” at Treasure Island ?????? starts at 7:00 and runs four times a night, about every 90 minutes. And there is the famous volcano at the Mirage, which erupts 7 to midnight every hour.
The good news is that these are just a small sample of the shows in Las Vegas NV.
On any given day, ?????? visitors have a menu of several dozen to choose from which makes Vegas an idea spot for meeting and conventions – no one every needs to worry how to entertain one's guests in Vegas, just take them to a show.
Even if you find the entire content of Las Vegas NV disagreeable, you won't be able to resist the appeal of it's spectacular shows…
